'Untitled.' Series' 7 & 8

The following two series of prints portray the eye of providence within a mandala; each print has been digitally manipulated through the use of mirroring, holga effects and hue editorial processes. For these particular prints I wanted to keep the design chromatic, the layers shown within these prints are unsaturated in hue in order to simulate sfumato-esc nature in that I wanted each later to be a waker opacity to the base. The prints exhibited below are an assemblage of layered prints embellished by holga effects, wash overs, mirroring and contortion. I had selected areas of the prints I wished to ensue motion and dragged toward the desired area. Both series, or rather series and final image mimic the characteristics of various visual impairments, the triad refers to the visuals seen as through the lens of a cataracts and binocular diplopia, two ailments which portray blurred vision and the appearance of more than one object. The final image adorns the eye with a neon blue triangle, acting as a focal point to the viewer, I had chosen to just mirror the print rather than distorting it, as I had reached the conclusion that distorting the image further alongside displaying the triangle would have resulted in an over embellished image. I hope to have these images printed on a large scale over close paper, to then be mounted for exhibition. A real neon light surrounding the triangle could be a possibility to explore over the continuation in James' module.
